I've been drawing again, after around a year and a half of not drawing. The following is the result of half miss-reading something and my dumb brain firing out a lame response. It may only be funny if you've played The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. But, it may not be funny then either.

I worked too long on that for what it was meant to be (simple attempt at funny), and have no idea where else to post it. Posting it on DeviantArt is like posting it nowhere, and it doesn't really fit in y! gallery (or maybe it does). Eh.

Enjoy, hopefully at least it will garner a chuckle to someone.

Edit: Fixed picture - had to correct a spelling mistake in it and the new picture has a different link.

And it's better then "Nine Divines, I choose you". That would just sound lame - not to mention that their special me-so-holy attack doesn't seem to do much...

Yep, I have a DeviantArt account - I signed up there some few months before I hit the wall called 'artists block'. Link is here: http://sebyth.deviantart.com/

Not only would calling on the Divines sound lame, but they wouldn't show up and you'd lose the pokemon fight by default. I don't believe that dragon was who people think it is. I have my own half-formed theory on that - it revolves around Martin having been a Daedra worshipper in the past, the necklace being a massively powerful soul gem, and the player having to go fetch the blood of someone previously...

So something rigged up by the priests to fake a divine event in the case of an emergency? Would the dragon be a really big Daedra?

More or less. There's a somewhat canon theory that the Amulet itself was a powerful soul gem, holding the soul of the first Emperor (or Emperess) Alessia, either alone or in conjunction with the Divine known as Akatosh (the Dragon of Time, who is thought to be the big dragon that shows up). It may or may not also house the souls of Emperors who followed after her. The Amulet apparently works in conjunction either with the literal descendants or spiritual descendants of Alessia (her bloodline so to speak) to hold in place the barrier keeping out major Daedric incursions. As a former Daedra worshipper, Martin knows all about summoning. He got a sample of Alessia's bloodline in the form of the blood on Talos' (or whatever that guy's name was) armour. My theory is something like: Martin used the blood to summon the power in the Amulet to defeat Mehrunes and force the barrier back into place. This summon took the form of a large dragon because that's what people expect.

There is actually a Daedra who is dragon-shaped as well - Pyrite or something. The quest you get at his shrine involves you having to go collect Pyrite's followers from Mehrunes' realm where they became trapped by accident upon attempting to brute force their way to Pyrite's realm.

I haven't really thought it through in great detail. But the whole thing just seems suspicious to me.
