Everything I touch turns to shit and ashes. I keep wanting to get better at drawing but I lock up when I get a drawing/painting tool in hand. Everything around me breaks or doesn't work properly. When I do try to draw something or accomplish anything I suddenly realize that I don't know what I'm doing and it comes out badly, or I give up on it, or rush through it to get it over with.

I'm uncreative as fuck and a failure too. Life has passed me by, but the idea that I could ever succeed was an illusion or a lie.

Boo hoo.

Subject:Crackheads.

We may be moving. Mostly because of crackheads.

The top floor of our building has been the source of much noise, destruction and police visitation for a bit over a year now. For several months, almost every night would feature some guy hammering on the door and/or ringing our doorbell in an attempt to get into the building to go to the top floor. During the day, and sometimes night, when whoever it was would get in, and if couldn't get inside the apartment they wanted, would yell and hammer on the door for anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour. The rare times I went to answer the door, I did so with a weapon in hand.

About a week or so ago, there was a loud crash. The next morning I heard sounds of glass shards being thrown around. Upon investigating, I found the superintendant picking up the remains of the shattered full-length glass front entrance door. I asked him what was going on, and soon found out that he had kicked out the denizens of the top floor apartment. It turns out that the lease-holder has actually been in jail for about four months, and the people in there were squatters. Crackhead squatters. Approximately twelve of them, in fact.

They still come around and still try to get in, hence the broken glass. The superintendant had replaced the door, but...

They've broken it again tonight. One of my roommates apparently took a picture of the guy who did it, and contacted the police about it. After talking to the police for some time, he's barred our own door from opening with 2x4 wood boards. My other roommate says we shall move out.

Fucking crackheads.

I've been drawing again, after around a year and a half of not drawing. The following is the result of half miss-reading something and my dumb brain firing out a lame response. It may only be funny if you've played The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. But, it may not be funny then either.

I worked too long on that for what it was meant to be (simple attempt at funny), and have no idea where else to post it. Posting it on DeviantArt is like posting it nowhere, and it doesn't really fit in y! gallery (or maybe it does). Eh.

Enjoy, hopefully at least it will garner a chuckle to someone.

Edit: Fixed picture - had to correct a spelling mistake in it and the new picture has a different link.

I've been playing The Sims 2 lately. I made a few least-effort-required attempts at modifications to things, like custom skintones and hair colours. It doesn't seem much worth the effort of spending huge amounts of time trying to figure out how to properly retexture an outfit for a Sim, when most of the time they're in underwear trying to fight their way into the bathroom mere seconds before heading to work - or trying to make it from work to their bed before passing out on the curb.

I also played Dirge of Cerebus, and somehow made it through to the end. Much temper was lost, much cursing was heard. I'm trying to decide if it's worth my time to go through the game again hunting out the secret targets that unlock 'extras' or if I should bother to try for the other endings that are surely there. I still don't like the camera movement set-up, which I've been told is the standard set-up for that sort of game now. I'm still sorting through the pieces of story information to puzzle out what exactly was supposed to have happened.

(to the Anon respondant from the last entry: I posted the specs after your entry)

I keep watching CSI and I don't know why. I have even been known to watch three hours in a row of it. Pretty much every episode is: them interviewing red herring people and performing test after expensive test like they were made of money, until they trip over one glaringly obvious piece of evidence that apparently everyone missed the first bunch of times they went over the scene, which points to only one possible suspect/place/detail. Then they glare and make snarly comments at that one person for about two seconds after which time the suspect folds completely and tells exactly how they did it.

But I keep watching it. Never watch CSI: Miami though - it's even worse. The same show with less interesting versions of the same characters. It's so dull they had to kill off one of the characters to make one episode, and I barely noticed because all three of the young male tech characters look similar to me (same height, same build, same short dark brown cropped hair). I'll still watch it, but if regular CSI is on another channel, I'll watch that instead.
